Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 4 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 2 bone-in pork chops
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 medium tart apples (chopped)
- 6 sweet potatoes (peeled and cubed)
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- salt
- Fresh rosemary
Instruction
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender, 20 to 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, in a small bowl, mix together salt, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 teaspoon black pepper. Season the pork chops with the mixture and set aside.
- In a large heavy skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add seasoned pork chops and cook 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Using tongs, remove the pork chops and set aside, keep warm.
- Add to the skillet the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, chopped apples, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Cook and stir until apples are tender, about 7 - 10 minutes.
