Ingredients

The following ingredients have 2 Servings
  • 3 medium sized Gala apples
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • *Optional: 1 tsp to 1 tbsp of sugar based on your sweetness preference or if your apples are not naturally sweet

Instruction

  • Preheat the oven to 200°F or 95°C. Spread parchment paper over two cookie sheets.
  • Wash, dry and core your apples.
  • Slice your apples AS THIN AS POSSIBLE with a knife or slicer if you have one. The more thin the apple slices are, the more crispy your chips will be and you will be able to bake them for a shorter amount of time.
  • Spread out the sliced apples on to your prepared cookie sheets. Sprinkle on the cinnamon over the apples (I ended up using more than 1 tsp but this will depend on your preference!). If you decide to add sugar, sprinkle it on top now as well.
  • Bake your apple chips for 3 hours. Place one cookie sheet on the top left corner of your oven and the other one on the bottom right. After 1.5 hours have passed, switch the trays and rotate. Based on your apples and how thick you cut them, you may need to bake them for a longer or shorter amount of time for them to get crispy.
