Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup pecans (, chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Biscuits
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter ((1 stick))
  • 1 cup medium apple (, peeled, cored, and finely chopped (about 3/4 ))
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese (, shredded)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter (, melted)

Instruction

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1/3 cup sugar, the chopped pecans and the cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, stir the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt until mixed.
  • Cut in the butter using a pastry blender of fork, until mixture looks like wet sand.
  • Add the chopped apples and cheddar cheese to the bowl and mix well.
  • Make a well in the center.
  • Add the milk all at once.
  • Stir just until mixture forms a ball.
  • Take a large spoonful of the dough and roll it into a ball.
  • Dip the biscuit in the melted butter and roll in the sugar mixture.
  • Arrange on a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
