Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup pecans (, chopped)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Biscuits
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter ((1 stick))
- 1 cup medium apple (, peeled, cored, and finely chopped (about 3/4 ))
- 3/4 cup cheddar cheese (, shredded)
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter (, melted)
Instruction
- Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/3 cup sugar, the chopped pecans and the cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, stir the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt until mixed.
- Cut in the butter using a pastry blender of fork, until mixture looks like wet sand.
- Add the chopped apples and cheddar cheese to the bowl and mix well.
- Make a well in the center.
- Add the milk all at once.
- Stir just until mixture forms a ball.
- Take a large spoonful of the dough and roll it into a ball.
- Dip the biscuit in the melted butter and roll in the sugar mixture.
- Arrange on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden.
