Ingredients
The following ingredients have 24 Servings
- 1 cup rolled oats (110 grams)
- 1 cup plain flour (150 grams)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (130 grams)
- 1 cup desiccated coconut (70 grams)
- 125 grams butter (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
Instruction
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celsius (fan-forced) and line an 18 x 28cm slice tin with baking paper.
- Place the butter, brown sugar and golden syrup into a small saucepan and cook over a medium/low heat while stirring occasionally for 4-5 minutes or until the butter and melted and combined with the other ingredients.
- Add the bicarbonate of soda and use a whisk to combine.
- In a large bowl, add the flour, coconut and rolled oats. Add the butter mixture and stir well to combine.
- Transfer to your prepared baking tray and bake for 22 - 25 minutes or until golden.
- Leave the Anzac Slice in the baking tray to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
