Ingredients
The following ingredients have 20 Servings
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup desiccated coconut
- 125 g butter
- 1/3 cup golden syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 170C (150C fan-forced). Line a slice pan with baking paper with sides extending over long sides.
- Combine flour, oats and coconut in a large bowl, making a well in the centre.
- Combine butter, golden syrup and brown sugar in a small saucepan. Stir over a medium heat until butter melts and mixture is smooth.
- Add the bicarbonate of soda and stir to combine.
- Pour wet mixture over dry ingredients and stir until evenly combined.
- Spread into prepared pan and smooth with the back of a spoon.
- Bake for 20 minutes. Cool in the pan.
- Lift out using the paper and cut into 20 bars. Keep in an airtight container.
