The following ingredients have 1 Servings
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking soda
  • 1 pound chocolate confectioners' coating

Instruction

  • Prepare a 9 x 13 baking dish by coating with butter.
  • Over medium heat and using a medium sized saucepan, add corn syrup, vinegar, and sugar.
  • Stir continuously until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Continue cooking without stirring until a candy thermometer reads 300° to 310°.
  • Remove the pan off of the heat.
  • In the prepared baking dish, pour the hot liquid. Don't spread it out, it won't fill the pan.
  • Allow to fully cool.
  • Break the cooled candy into pieces (bite-sized or whatever size you prefer).
  • Using a double boiler, add chocolate coating. Stir often until the chocolate melts and is smooth.
  • Dip the candy pieces in the melted chocolate and place on waxed paper to set.
