Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 onion (finely sliced)
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 to matoes (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 4 potatoes (medium sized, peeled and cubed)
  • 2 cups fresh / frozen peas
  • salt to taste

Instruction

  • Heat oil in a pan or pressure cooker. Fry onion till translucent.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell vanishes from it.
  • Throw in the tomatoes and cook till soft and pulpy.
  • Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and add some water to prevent burning the masala.
  • Stir and add potatoes. Add water and cook till the potatoes are almost done.
  • Add in the peas and cook till they are done. The peas get cooked very fast. If you are using pressure cooker, use it only for cooking potatoes.
  • Mix in the salt and serve hot with roti or rice.
