Ingredients

The following ingredients have 3 Servings
  • 3 large sweet potatoes, (peeled and cut into 1/4 inch slices)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instruction

  • Prep the sweet potatoes by peeling the skin (or you can leave the skin on), then slice the potatoes into french fries: Slice a potato in half lengthwise with a chef’s knife. Lay each half cut-side down. Slice lengthwise into 1/4 thick slices. Stack about half of the slices and cut lengthwise into 1/4 inch thick fries. Repeat with the rest.
  • Fill a bowl with ice and water. Place the sliced sweet potatoes into the ice bath and swish them around a bit. Let the sweet potato slices soak for 30 minutes. Remove the sweet potato slices after 30 minutes, and using a clean kitchen towel pat them completely dry.
  • Add the dried slices to a ziplock bag or bowl. Add oil and seasonings, then toss to coat. Lightly spray the bottom of the air fryer with oil spray, then add the sweet potato fries in a single layer to the air fryer.
  • Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and 8 minutes. When the time is up, shake around the fries, then close the air fryer and cook 4-5 more minutes at 400 degrees. Check after 4 minutes, and add additional time for desired crispiness. Remove from the air fryer and serve with your favorite sauce.
