Ingredients

The following ingredients have 3 Servings
  • 3 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch slices
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instruction

  • Prep the potatoes by peeling the skin (or you can leave the skin on), then slice the potatoes into french fries: Slice a potato in half lengthwise with a chef’s knife. Lay each half cut-side down. Slice lengthwise into 1/4 thick slices. Stack about half of the slices and cut lengthwise into 1/4 inch thick fries. Repeat with the rest.
  • Fill a bowl with ice and water. Place the sliced potatoes into the ice bath and swish them around a bit. Let the potato slices soak for 30 minutes. Remove the slices, and using a clean kitchen towel pat them completely dry.
  • Add the dried slices to a ziplock bag or bowl. Add oil and seasonings, then toss to coat. Lightly spray the bottom of the air fryer with oil spray, then add the french fries in a single layer to the air fryer.
  • Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and 8 minutes. When the time is up, shake around the fries, then close the air fryer and cook 6-8 more minutes at 400 degrees. Check after 6 minutes, and add additional time for desired crispiness.
  • Remove from the air fryer and serve with your favorite sauce.
