Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 pound chorizo sausage
- 4 cups frozen diced hash browns (Southern style)
- Lawry's season salt
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- Optional: fried eggs to serve over top, sour cream, cilantro for garnish
Instruction
- Cook the chorizo sausage in a skillet over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
- Place the diced frozen hash browns in the air fryer basket and season with Lawry's season salt (the hash browns I got were not seasoned, skip this part if your hash browns are pre-seasoned). Set the air fryer to 390 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, depending on how crispy you want them to be. Shake the basket a few times throughout cooking.
- Add the cooked chorizo sausage and cheese to the air fryer and shake the basket to mix evenly. Set the air fryer to 390 degrees for 1 to 2 more minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Top with a fried egg or sour cream if desired and garnish with cilantro.Note: If you don't have an air fryer, follow to directions on the hash brown package to cook in a skillet. Then toss in the chorizo and cheese before serving.
