Ingredients

The following ingredients have 7 Servings
  • 1 (15-ounce) can chickpeas, drained
  • 2 medium, ripe avocados, cored and peeled
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp cumin

Instruction

  • Combine chickpeas, avocados, olive oil, tahini, lime juice, garlic, fresh cilantro if using, and cumin in the bowl of a food processor; season with salt and blend until smooth. About 2 minutes.
  • Transfer hummus to a bowl and garnish with fresh cilantro, red pepper flakes and drizzle with olive oil. Serve with pita or tortilla chips.
