Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1.5 pounds rib eye steak
  • 10 Thomas’ Plain Mini Bagels (1 bag)
  • 1 bunch fresh basil (large)
  • 1/2  cup balsamic glaze
  • 4 ounces blue cheese (any variety)

Instruction

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Preheat the grill to high heat. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Season the rib eye steak(s) with salt and pepper. Once the grill is hot, grill the steak(s) for 2-4 minutes per side to reach your desired level of doneness. Remove from the grill and cover loosely with foil for at least 5 minutes.
  • Twist the Thomas’ Mini Bagels to separate. Place the bagel halves, cut-side-up on the prepared baking sheet. Toast for 5-8 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, remove the basil leaves from their stems. Slice the steak into thin strips, against the grain. Slice the blue cheese into thin shards.
  • Once the bagels are out of the oven, top each half with 1-2 basil leaves, then 1-2 slices of steak. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and top with shards of fresh blue cheese. Serve warm.
