Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 28 oz can diced peeled plum tomatoes
  • 6 oz can tomato paste
  • ¼ cup red wine
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil (chopped)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp salt

Instruction

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet, or dutch oven, over medium heat.
  • Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add the tomato sauce, diced peeled plum tomatoes, tomato paste and red wine.
  • Add the basil, parsley, black pepper, oregano and salt.
  • Mix together and bring to a simmer.
  • Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
